SHOPPING ALERT!!! Dilworth Park is throwing down this year for the Christmas Village. We should know, we spent all of out money there and can confirm there are unique gifts for everyone. It might have been the coffee caramel hot chocolate from the Lacas Coffee booth that was fueling our holiday spirit, but this trip was so much fun!
The park is right at City Hall and it looks so so gorgeous with the tree front and center, marking the entrance to the festivities.
We started at the maze, which is new this year. It is meant more for small children, but we enjoyed the pretty forest theme anyways. We then walked around the shops and bought some treats and small gifts.
The LAST DAY to go shopping at the village is December 24,2016. They will be celebrating with a number of special events throughout the month of December. HERE is a calendar for more information.
Be sure to stop at our favorite booths:
- Janette’s Designs – Handmade Alpaca, Llama, and Sheep Wool sweaters, ponchos, scarfs, hats, gloves
- Mistura Timepieces – One-of-a-kind watches crafted from wood, leather, flower petals, and recycled materials
- Down to Earth Body Shop – Skin Therapy Products
There is also an ice skating rink AND a “cabin” where beer and cocktails are served to those looking to warm up the good old fashioned way. It’s super cozy inside the cabin!
